This course is for anyone who is ready to commit to a photography project who would like instruction, encouragement, feedback and mentorship to see a photography project through to completion.

I make even the most camera-shy feel comfortable in front of my lens. Creative ideation is my forte. I'm calm in a storm. EXPERIENCE
With a diverse background in art direction, photography, and film production management, Alissa has worked as both the director for creative talent and as the creative talent. She has shot and produced content for international publications and brands, art directed and produced complex commercial shoots, managed global launch events, and orchestrated rebrands of international corporations. Her true passions are storytelling and empowering others to create impactful project work that educates and influences positive change. She continues to champion activists, creatives, farmers, and more through her Urban Exodus project and podcast. Alissa's book Ditch the City and Go Country, was released in 2017, distributed by Macmillan Press. In her free time, she sings in a nostalgic cover band called Minivan Carpool.

JACOB HESSLER

I'm a gear head and can light anything - from a mobile phone to an airplane. I'm a minimalist and an advocate for less is more. I'm comic relief on set. I love exploring and photographing the great outdoors and convening with nature. I'm a true introvert.
EXPERIENCE
A graduate of the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography, Jacob has risen to acclaim in both the fine-art photography world. Following Brooks, Jacob pursued a post-graduate degree in graphic design at Parsons, the New School for Design in New York City. His work has been exhibited and added to the permanent collections of museums and institutions all over the country. His first fine-press book Boundaries released in 2017. The book is a collaboration with the celebrated Cuban-American inaugural poet Richard Blanco. He is currently working on Thirst, a project highlighting the freshwater contamination crisis in the United States.
